Laura
Teodori
born in Rome in 1953, graduated in Biology cum laude
in 1976 at the University of Rome. In the years 1979-1980 she
was a postdoctoral fellow at the MD Anderson Hospital Cancer Research
Institute, University of Texas, USA, working on the application
of the multiparametric flow cytometry (FC) on the detection of
early diagnostic cellular neoplastic markers. In 1981 she was
a guest researcher at the Institute of Radiobiology, University
of Muenster, where she became a world-recognized expert, working
with Prof. Göhde, one of the FC inventors.
A pioneer of FC, she contributed to the development of the FC
technique in Italy and worldwide. She has scientific collaboration
with several international leading groups (e.g. University of
Muenster, - Prof. Göhde and University of Heidelberg Dr Ehemann,
Mount Sinai of New York). She works in Rome at ENEA, National
Agency for Energy and Environment. She teaches "Cytometry"
at the School of Oncology, Medical Faculty, University of Rome.
She is the author of 49 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
